Zaneville Manor Farm is pleased to announce a new approach to providing a caring and loving environment for my retired mothers. The SMILE Pet Program (Sponsoring Mothers In Loving Environments) is designed to enable an honorable, humane and fiscally responsible way to support retired mothers, with the help of other caring people.

In the world of dog breeding, retired mothers are considered a burden to the breeder, resulting in surrender of the mothers to shelters, rescues or worse. Most breeders with integrity want to keep their retired mothers, but the financial burden can become too much to bear.

Zaneville Manor Farm retires female collies from breeding after just a few seasons. With six loving female collies now in retirement, and three due to retire this year, the practice is becoming financially impossible. My collies are my family, and if I cannot keep the retirees, then I must not continue breeding.

You now have the ability to support my SMILE Pet Program.

For a $50 sponsorship, (you can send as often as you like {every month/year}, or for any dog you want to) your support could sincerely help me to provide the quality of care that I am giving for all ageing mothers. This is just the start of a plan, and could lead to a much bigger, and greater concept for other breeders, but it has to start somewhere.

For this support you will receive:

• A fact sheet describing the mother of your choice, including a current picture, suitable for framing.
• The knowledge you are supporting a responsible breeder. This new program is a wonderful and noble way the retired mothers will be given the chance to live out their lives the way it was meant to be, at their home, where they are most comfortable, and always loved.
• Zaneville Manor Farm has been responsibly breeding rough collies for nearly 30 years, and with your support looks forward to the next 30.
